The Gelert Bridge on the Haliburton Rail Trail could need significant repairs in the coming years.
The county is responsible for maintaining the trail.
Some deck boards were replaced last month but Warden Brent Devolin says more work will be needed next year.
The plan is to replace more of the deck boards as well as rotting rail ties but the county plans to do a more thorough assessment of the Gelert Bridge next year.

The bridge is still safe for people walking on the trail to use.
The county also recently did some re-surfacing work on the trail south of Donald.
There is no estimate for remedial work yet on the Gelert Bridge.
