Minden flood victims can apply for property tax relief

Minden Hills flood victims could be eligible for property tax relief.

High water levels in the Gull River in May forced the township into a state of emergency.

Owners of damaged property in Minden can apply for property tax relief under a section of Ontario’s Municipal Act.

In order to qualify for relief, the damage has to prevent everyday usage of the property, and repairs must take 90 days or more to complete.
