High water levels in the Gull River in May forced the township into a state of emergency. Owners of damaged property in Minden can apply for property tax relief under a section of Ontario’s Municipal Act. In order to qualify for relief, the damage has to prevent everyday usage of the property, and repairs must take 90 days or more to complete. Click here for a link to the form. If you have questions about the tax relief request form, you can call the township tax department at 705-286-1260.
