The execution of a new Housing Help Centre isn’t turning out to be what was originally proposed. Minden Hills Reeve Barb Reid sits on the Kawartha Lakes-Haliburton Joint Social and Housing Committee. She says the new centre would mean agencies in Haliburton County would lose funding.
Reid says they need to come forward with support from local agencies as well as a plan for Haliburton County in order for her to support it.
Reid says the City of Kawartha Lakes will make the final decision, but she has made sure her concerns are well known.
