The rainbow flag is waiving at the Minden Hills township office to signify Pride Week.
There will be a chairpersons reception as well as a meet and greet at Boshkung Social on Water Street this evening at 5:30.
This is the second year pride is being celebrated in Minden and Pride Week Co-Chair Sinclair Russel says this year’s celebration includes more events.
Russel also says they will be adding a pride theme to a couple of regular Minden events.
Pride Trivia will be at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Dominion Hotal, while Music by the Gull will be along the river starting Friday at 6:30 p.m.
There will be a tea dance on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grill on the Gull.
On Sunday, there will be a Loud and Proud church service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, and the week wraps up with a pride picnic at the Wild Swan on Invergordon Avenue from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m..
Pride Week is meant to celebrate the lesbian, gay bisexual transgender culture.
