President and C.E.O. Carolyn Plummer led a delegation to Kingston for a physician recruiting fair earlier this month.Plummer says it was a great opportunity to connect with doctors in their residency placements. //www.myhaliburtonnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/CP-1.mp3Plummer did not give a specific number of physicians she is looking for.She adds another source of recruitment is locums, which are doctors who are based in one location, but spend time working in other offices or emergency rooms.Plummer says when locums are here, the goal is to convince them to stay. //www.myhaliburtonnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/CP-2.mp3Plummer adds that H.H.H.S. is also recruiting for the Haliburton Highlands Family Health Team, which operates a clinic on Gelert Road but it a separate organization.
