The Minden Hills Terry Fox Run is just around the corner.
This year’s run will be saluting cancer survivors, including a 13-year-old girl who defeated the disease.
Minden councilors, Ron Nesbitt, Lisa Schell, Jean Neville and Jeanne Anthon are among the 31 cancer survivors taking part in the run.
Minden Terry Fox Run Committee Chairperson Diane Peacock told council the run raised over $16,000 last year.

Overall, the run has raised nearly $262,000 for cancer research in its 23 years.
The Minden Hills Terry Fox Run will be September 17th.
