Algonquin Highlands council will continue its discussion on the future of the Dorset library.

According to a library book circulation report, the Dorset location has the second-lowest activity of eight county branches.

The library is one organization using space at the Dorset Community Centre.

Councilor Lisa Barry asked what would happen with children’s programs if there are changes to how the library operates.

Mayor Carol Moffatt says there will be more debate about the library’s future in the coming months.

According to the library report digital book circulations are up by over a thousand compared to the same time last year.
