Central Food Network can use powdered milk

The Central Food Network is hosting a lunch a week from today to help two food banks.

The food network runs the Wilberforce and Cardiff food banks and is having the lunch to stock its shelves for the fall.

Central Food Network Board Member Joan Barton says donations of milk powder would be most appreciated.

Barton also says the food network can use pet food.

Barton adds the food banks have more clients during the fall and winter months.

The lunch will be next Friday at the Lloyd Watson Community Centre in Wilberforce starting at 11:30 a.m.

You can have lunch in exchange for a cash or non-perishable food item donation.

Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes, Brock M.P.P. Laurie Scott will be the special guest.
