The Haliburton Highlands O.P.P. wants people to be safe on their A.T.V.’s this fall and winter.
The detachment is stressing safety in the wilderness after two men lost their lives in Minden Hills in under a week in separate A.T.V. collisions.
Community Safety Officer Dianna Dauphinee says riders should take precautions before hitting the trails.
Dauphinee also suggests bringing some items with you.
She also reminds riders that using an A.T.V. while impaired carries the same penalties as drunk driving.
