Culinary delights part of Haliburton County’s tourism strategy

Haliburton County is looking to be a destination for culinary tourism.

Tourism Director Amanda Virtanen says the county teamed with the Ontario Culinary Tourism Alliance to make Haliburton a hot spot for foodies.

Virtanen also says the county is well into a strategy specifically focusing on food tourism.

Part of the strategy is inviting foodie bloggers to the county and having them document their experiences.

The county is also listed as a destination on the culinary tourism alliance’s website.
