Students at Hal High will have an opportunity to receive free dental resources. According to Determinants of Health Nurse Kristina Nairn, oral health is an important subject for our youth.
On Wednesday June 11, students an receive dental consultations from Health Unit staff. Nairn says students should be aware of how teeth care can affect their health.
The Health Unit is also spreading the word to local families about financial support programs. The Health Unit offers programs such as Healthy Smiles Ontario, Children in Need of Ontario, and Ontario Works, which pay for dental treatment and urgent dental care.
