Two Terry Fox Runs in the county brings in over $20,000 for cancer research

Over $20,000 from the county is going towards cancer research.

That’s how much combined money was raised at the Haliburton and Minden Hills Terry Fox Runs.

The Minden run raised over $16,000 while the Haliburton event brought in almost $5,000.

Haliburton run organizer Jennifer Button says Sunday went very well.

Button also says she is already looking towards the 2018 Terry Fox Run.

The Terry Fox Run happens in communities all over Canada every September to raise money for cancer research.
