A campaign is on to help food banks in Haliburton County stock their shelves.
Fill the Truck is in its sixth year and has a goal of 16,000 pounds for the four book banks in the county by October 4th.
Fill the Truck Organizer John Teljeur says this initiative will help the food banks get through a period where donations are lower than the summer and winter months.
If you want to get involved, Teljeur says you should ask your boss to make a pledge for your work on how many pounds of food you will raise.

He adds the truck will come to your work place to get the food.
There are food banks in Haliburton, Minden Hills, Cardiff and Wilberforce.
