Program to quit smoking coming to Kinmount in October

The Smoking Treatment for Ontario Patients program will be having a session in Kinmount.

The S.T.O.P. program offers five weeks of free nicotine patches to people who qualify.

The provincial initiative is being offered through the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit.

Nicotine patches can cost anywhere between $60-$80 per month according to H.K.P.R. Public Health Nurse Karen Taylor.

The information session will be October 4^th at 10:30 a.m.
