A 52-year old has a court date next month after to answer to impaired driving charges.
The man was stopped at a Haliburton Highlands O.P.P. check stop on Newcastle Street in Minden Hills last Thursday evening.
After speaking with the driver, police determined he had been drinking.
The O.P.P. says he failed a breathalyzer test as well.
His driver’s licence was suspended for 90-days, and his car was impounded for seven days.
