The Haliburton Highlands O.P.P. arrested a suspect in connection with a robbery in Goodherham.
According to the O.P.P. the suspect and another person went into the Lucky Dollar Store in July.
They were unable to steal anything but did flee the scene.
A 35-year-old man from Lindsay was charged with trying to strangle someone, robbery with violence, disguise with intent, possession of property obtained by crime and four counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
The Haliburton Highlands detachment continues to investigate.
