There are no classes at the Haliburton School of Art and Design until further notice.

That’s because college teachers all across the province are on strike.

The strike affects two full-time faculty members and 104 full-time students at Fleming College’s Haliburton campus.

Fleming President Tony Tilly says both the College Employer Council and Ontario Public Service Employees Union are working to hammer out a new agreement.

Tilly adds salaries do not seem to be the union’s biggest concern.

The strike started this morning at 12:01.

The Haliburton campus is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for student use.
