News School board announces funding for four schools in Haliburton County SHARE ON: Kenny Trenton, contributor, Tuesday, Oct. 17th, 2017 Four schools in Haliburton County will be receiving funding towards mainly outdoor and technology education initiatives. The Program Enhancement Fund was set up by the Trillium Lakelands District School Board. Haliburton Highlands Secondary School is getting just under $16,000. John Douglas Hodgson Elementary gets just under $10,000, and Stuart Baker Elementary is receiving $9,000. Wilberforce Elementary is getting $5,000, while Archie Stouffer Elementary now has an additional $4,500 The board said it its report that it got 151 applications for funding and was able to approve 111 of them.
