Reeve Murray Fearrey calls Hometown Hockey weekend a huge success

The cost to bring Hometown Hockey to Head Lake Park last weekend is between $25,000-$30,000.

That’s according to Dysart et al Reeve Murray Fearrey, who says the weekend festival was a major success.

Fearrey says some of that money is coming back to the community.

Fearrey also says Hometown Hockey Host Ron MacLean mentioned Haliburton several times during a Saturday broadcast as well as the viewing of an N.H.L. game on the big screen in Head Lake Park.

He adds you cannot put a price tag on the value of national exposure.

Dysart and Haliburton County had to pay for Hometown Hockey signage, as well as bus service so people all over the county could take part in the festival.
