Bell Canada says phone and internet service has been restored to a vast majority of customers.
A Bell spokesperson says a company digging in Haliburton Village at the corner of Highland Street and Lake Avenue severed a cable while digging on Tuesday.
Approximately 1,500 phone and internet lines were affected.
In an e-mail to the My Haliburton Now newsroom, the spokesperson said she had no estimate as to when service would be restored to all customers.
The service disruption started in Haliburton Village and went as far as Ingoldsby.
