Highlands East asking voters if the head of council’s title should be changed

You can have your say in the Highlands East debate about a title change.

The municipality is asking for the public’s input of changing the head of council’s title from reeve to mayor.

Current Reeve Dave Burton says he personally doesn’t have a preference on what his title is.

Burton adds many younger voters do not know what a reeve is and admits he has had to explain to people that there is no difference in job roles.
