Algonquin Highlands will be kicking in $10,000 towards its septic re-inspection program.
The investing by the township covers the education component of the program.
Mayor Carol Moffatt says each property septic system inspected will be billed $179.11.
That cost is based on an inspection of 4,500 properties.

Moffatt also says some people are against mandatory septic re-inspection, but the majority of taxpayers support the program.
