Nominations are open for the David C. Onley Award with four categories to recognize individuals and organizations. The Champion Award recognizes organizations offering barrier-free workplaces for people with disabilities and the Employee Engagement award recognizes workers or volunteers who are supporting a co-worker with a disability. The Role Model Award and the Youth Leadership Award are both offered to residents working to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities. These awards are named after Canada’s 28th Lieutenant Governor of Ontario David Onley who was left partially paralyzed after battling Polio. Nominations have to be in by December 3rd.
