The Crowe Valley Conservation Authority is warning you that lake levels and river flows are higher than usual for this time of year.
Because of the significant rain early this month, the conservation authority has issued a water safety statement for the area. This extends into parts of Highlands East, North Kawartha, Wollaston, Limerick, Tudor, Cashel and Faraday.
Because of strong currents, the conservation authority wants you to stay ways from all dams, hydro plants, bridges, and watercourses. Flooding is not a concern at this time.
Levels and flows are expected to drop down to normal by the weekend if we don’t get any more rain.
