According to a fire department report shown to Minden council, the bill will go up by $115,628.82. The soil on the site is not suitable for building, so engineered soil needed to be ordered so the building would be on a more solid base. Mayor Brent Devolin says there were other additions to the project. //www.myhaliburtonnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Brent-1.mp3 Devolin adds some budget variations on large scale projects are common. //www.myhaliburtonnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Brent-2.mp3 The new cost for the fire hall just south of Minden on Highway 35 will be $1,907,243.67.
