The number of declined votes in Haliburton County has increased dramatically since the last election.This year’s number of declined ballots rose to 119 in Haliburton County alone, from the three reported in the last election. This falls in line with the province’s numbers where the number of declined ballots was at an all time high since 1975.The last election saw close to 2500 declined ballots, whereas this year, Elections Ontario counted 31,399 declined ballots across the province.
