Haliburton County Snowmobile Association receives $1,500 donation from downtown Haliburton resto-bar

The Haliburton County Snowmobile Association has an extra $1,500 to work with.

That’s how much McKeck’s Tap and Grill donated to the H.C.S.A. to help maintain approximately 380 kilometres of sled trails in the county.

McKeck’s General Manager Karen Frybort says snowmobiling brings business to the area so the economic benefit is obvious.

H.C.S.A. Vice President Craig Bowker says this is the largest donation the association has received to date.

He adds community support is important, especially over the winter months’

Bowker also says it costs approximately $500,000 a year for the H.C.S.A. to maintain its trails.
