You may want to avoid Highland Street between 5:30 and 7:30 tomorrow night.

That’s because the Santa Claus Parade will be making its way through downtown Haliburton.

The Haliburton Business Improvement Association is involved in the planning.

Administrator Cindy Campbell says it will start with the tree lighting at the United Church on George Street.

Campbell adds this is the busiest parade Haliburton has ever had with over 40 floats going down Highland Street.

No parking is permitted on Highland Street while the parade is making its way through.

There will be closures at any road leading to Highland Street.

The following intersections are open to local traffic only during the parade: Victoria Street and Pine Avenue as well as George Street and Orchard Avenue.
