Minden Hills needs more information on why tipping fees are down compared to the last three years

Minden Hills could face a $150,000 deficit by the end of the year for its landfills.

That’s according to an environmental report, which shows the annual landfill costs over the last three years has been around $300,000.

Mayor Brent Devolin says council needs more information, but says large scale projects in years past may be playing a role in the shortfall.
