The company providing janitorial services to Minden Hills will be getting a six per cent raise.
Council agreed to extend the company’s contact for 2018 at price tag of $47,043.60.
The company is responsible for cleaning municipal facilities, including the fire hall, administration building and public washrooms.
While Mayor Brent Devolin says it is quite a big raise, he adds this is the first time the company has requested one in the last three or four years.
The contract is for all of 2018, and the cost will be included in next year’s budget.
