Highlands East is facing a shortage of skilled workers.
Councillor Cec Ryall made the comment following a presentation by the Haliburton Highlands Chamber of Commerce.
According to the chamber, there were 183 job postings county-wide as of November 10th.
Ryall says businesses are doing well, but could be doing better with more skilled labour.
The chamber wants to produce a video and would cost $10,000 and asked Highlands East for its support.
Ryall feels a video showcasing the region would be very useful.
The municipality will consider the chamber’s request as part of its 2018 budget discussions.
