You’ll be risking your own safety if you try using the snowmobile trails in Haliburton.
OPP Sergeant Peter Leon says just because there’s snow on the trails right now doesn’t mean they’re ready to use.
Leon says riders should also be responsible for checking conditions on the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs website before heading out.
There’s no word on when trails are expected to open.
