Haliburton County not sure if more staff in tourism or economic development is needed

Haliburton County isn’t sure if it needs another employee in its tourism department.

Council discussed the possibility of adding a staff member for tourism and economic development.

Warden Suzanne Partridge says more discussion is needed before making a decision.

The possibility of hiring one or two new employees was on the county’s list of objectives for 2018.

No salary specifics or job description would be given until the county decides it needs more staff.

Another objective of 2018 is to come up with a job description for the deputy warden position.
