A not-for-profit company that puts on rib festivals across Ontario wants to bring one to Haliburton. The B.W.G. Group made a presentation to Dysart et al council about a perspective festival this week, and Mayor Murray Fearrey loves the idea. //www.myhaliburtonnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Fearrey-1.mp3 B.W.G. President Rick Brooks told council all profits from their events are put back into the community where it hosts a festival. Brooks specifically mentioned Junction Skate Park, a concrete skateboard structure, as a potential recipient of funds from the event. Dysart Recreation and Program Coordinator Andrea Mueller says she is thrilled to hear that. //www.myhaliburtonnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/AM-2.mp3 Haliburton’s first annual Ribfest is set for the weekend of August 24th.
