M.P. Jamie Schmale surprised the government changing it’s tune on July 1st for marijuana legalization

Jamie Schmale says he is surprised marijuana will not necessarily be legal on July 1st.

The Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes, Brock M.P.P. was talking about Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s recent comments that recreational pot use will be legal by the summer, not necessarily Canada Day.

Schmale says the government was sending out information targeting July 1st as legalization day.

Schmale says many landlords and real estate agents in Haliburton County have told him they are worried about the rule that allows residents and tenants to grow marijuana plants at home.
