Frigid temperatures in Haliburton aren’t going away anytime soon

Pull on that parka because it’s going to be a very cold week in Haliburton.

According to Environment Canada, the county is going to feel like an icebox for this week as arctic air hangs around. Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says this may be the norm for the rest of this year.

The daily highs for the rest of the week won’t get warmer than minus 15. This is 12 degrees colder than the average high for this time of year. With the wind chill added in, it could feel like minus 30 or colder until the New Year.
