The Village of Haliburton can look forward to a new skate park in the spring.
Dysart et al Recreation and Programming Coordinator Andrea Mueller says construction is approximately 70 per cent complete on the concrete structure by the arena.
The Skate Park Fundraising Committee is looking to raise another $40,000 towards the project and got some help from the Beer Store.
The store is taking donations of empty cans and bottles and then giving the proceeds to the committee and has raised just under $800 so far.
If you want to donate your empties towards the skate park, you need to tell the Beer Store you want them to go towards the project.
