Highlands East Mayor Dave Burton is looking to carry last year’s momentum into 2018.
Burton says the municipality was either on or below budget for many projects in 2017.
Burton mentions repairs to the Cardiff water lines are expected to be finished this year.
Burton also wanted to thank staff and volunteers for what he calls amazing Canada Day festivities.

He says he is looking forward to finalizing the budget and talks about some of the municipality’s goals for this year.
Burton adds the municipality plans to buy a pumper tanker firetruck, which would be the first Highlands East has owned.
