The M.P. for Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes, Brock will be looking to stay in his chair.
Jamie Schmale announced he will be seeking re-election in 2019.
The Conservative Party of Canada let Schmale know last month that no one else in the riding sought the nomination.
Schmale says until election time, he and the PC’s will be focused on improving the economy as well as adding more jobs.
Schmale is in his first term as M.P. for the riding.
He is also the Deputy Shadow Minister for Natural Resources and the Shadow Minister for Northern Ontario Economic Development.
