The H.H.H.S. Community Services branch launched its Grief Support Group last week. Respondents to a community services survey indicated they want to see support groups for people struggling with the loss of a loved one. Hospice Services Coordinator Amanda Rowden says when it comes to help, the more the merrier. //www.myhaliburtonnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/AR-1.mp3 Rowden adds that volunteer training schedules are flexible. //www.myhaliburtonnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/AR-2.mp3 There are monthly meetings for support groups at the Ruth Parks room in the Haliburton hospital on the second Wednesday of every month, while the Minden Hills group will meet at the Hyland Crest Auditorium the first Monday of each month. The group will meet in Haliburton this Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The service is free. If you want to volunteer, or join the group, call 705-457-2941.
