Haliburton Highlands Health Services is in need of volunteers for a new program.
The H.H.H.S. Community Services branch launched its Grief Support Group last week.
Respondents to a community services survey indicated they want to see support groups for people struggling with the loss of a loved one.
Hospice Services Coordinator Amanda Rowden says when it comes to help, the more the merrier.
Rowden adds that volunteer training schedules are flexible.
There are monthly meetings for support groups at the Ruth Parks room in the Haliburton hospital on the second Wednesday of every month, while the Minden Hills group will meet at the Hyland Crest Auditorium the first Monday of each month.
The group will meet in Haliburton this Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The service is free.
