The Haliburton Highlands O.P.P. is releasing its Festive R.I.D.E. numbers.

The O.P.P. conducted its Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere campaign from November 24th until January 2nd.

There were 95 check stops and two drivers were charged with driving over the legal limit.

Another driver had their licence suspended for being in the warning range, which is between .05 and .08.

Last year, the Haliburton Highlands Detachment did 84 check stops during the same period.

One driver was charged with driving over the legal limit while another five received roadside suspensions.

The festive R.I.D.E. campaign is meant to crack down on impaired driving during the holiday season.
