Haliburton Highlands OPP is thanking citizens for their help regarding some impaired driving incidents. On June 27, a 63 year old Dysart man was charged with impaired driving after witnesses spotted him driving a school bus on County Road 21. Within the next three days OPP also laid impaired charges in three separate cases:
- A RIDE check on Kennisis Lake Road on June 28 resulted in a female 35 year-old, Eagle Lake resident charged with driving with over 80 milligrams of alcohol
- A motor vehicle collision on June 28 resulted in a 63 year-old Minden Hills man charged with impaired driving.
- A RIDE check on Fortesque Lake resulted in a 50 year-old Gooderham male arrested after failing the roadside test.
