Algonquin Park is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year.
Algonquin was founded on May 23rd, 1893, making it the first provincial park in Ontario.
Since then, Ontario Parks has expanded to include over 300 more, including Silent Lake Provincial Park which was founded in 1977 and Kawartha Highlands Park, which was established in 1989.
Ontario Parks says there will be events held province-wide to celebrate the milestone.
