The Haliburton Highlands Chamber of Commerce is looking for more nominations for its annual awards gala.

The aim of the chamber’s 12th annual Business and Community Achievement Awards is to recognize people and businesses that contribute to the economy and social well-being of Haliburton County.

There are 12 different award categories, including the newest award, the Young Professional of the Year.

Chamber Manager Autumn Wilson says even though the average age of the county is over 50-years-old, it’s important to recognize the contribution the younger generation makes.

Wilson says if you need help filling out the nomination form, you can visit the chamber office on Highland Street.

The deadline to nominate an individual or business is February 15th and the gala will be on March 17th.
