The Haliburton Highlands O.P.P. says a scam familiar to the area is making its rounds again.
The detachment says fraudsters are calling county residents and businesses posing as a Canada Revenue Agency Representative.
The callers are apparently using aggressive tactics and language.
In some cases, scammers are saying people can be arrested if they are late paying overdue taxes.
The O.P.P. suggests contacting the C.R.A. immediately to verity your tax situation.
A C.R.A. Spokesperson says the agency will not threaten anyone with arrests.
The tax agency is usually aware of scams and posts the ones making the rounds.
