Haliburton Highlands OPP are reporting a 56 year-old Dysart resident has been charged with attempted murder. The Criminal Investigations Unit responded to an address on Highway 118 on July 3.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of the man and he was charged with the following:
- Attempted Murder
- Forcible Confinement
- Uttering Threats
- Assault
- Choking
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Carless use of a Firearm
- Pointing a Firearm
The accused was held for a bail hearing in Lindsay on July 4. Constable Paul Potter says due to the nature of the investigation, no further information can be provided at this time.
