The A.J. Larue Arena in Haliburton will need a $15,000 upgrade.

Dysart et al council learned at this week’s meeting that the condenser pump which cools the ice quit working over the holidays.

According to Parks and Recreation Manager Andrew Wilbee, the pump has been temporarily fixed but it continues to blow fuses.

Wilbee’s report also said the hope was the pump would last until the spring but that is no longer the case.

Council gave its pre-approval for the work and it will be included in this year’s budget.
