Junction Skate Park in the Village of Haliburton is getting closer to its fundraising goal.
The Skate Park Fundraising Committee needs another $39,000.
The third annual Battle of the Bands will be next Saturday at the A.J. Larue Arena to raise funds for the park
Dysart et al Recreation and Programming Coordinator Andrea Mueller says anyone from anywhere can complete for musical supremacy.

So far, $170,000 has been raised towards the project and Mueller adds construction was around 70 per cent complete before crews stopped their work for the winter.
The new park will be by the arena.
