OPP is reporting a number of avoidable deaths over the past couple of weeks due to not wearing life jackets. Chief Superintendent John Tod says simply storing the life jacket in the boat isn’t good enough, but should be worn at all times. Not following the law of one life jacket per person on a boat could result in a $200 fine.
