Highlands East announces household hazardous waste disposal days

Highlands East will give residents six opportunities to get rid of household hazardous waste this year.

The municipality announced six dates to dispose of any hazardous waste, such as old paint cans and incandescent light bulbs for example.

Highlands East is partnering with the Township of Faraday to host the collection days.

The first one will be at the Faraday Public Works Garage on Highway 28 on May 12^th.

There will be one household hazardous waste day each month from May to October.

Here are the dates and locations of the days:

• June 23^rd, Tory Hills Landfill Site
• July 7^th, Faraday Township Public Works Garage
• August 11^th, Gooderham Transfer Station
• September 15^th, Faraday Township Public Works Garage
• October 27^th, Tory Hills Landfill Site
